We attempt to read every register every night. A register turns stale when our latest successful read of it is older than its window (24 or 48 h). A read that fails changes nothing: a register we can't reach keeps its last good read, dated, and turns stale here rather than being guessed — Tobique's site currently blocks most automated reads. The figures come from the public /v1/health/coverage endpoint: printed when this page was built, and refreshed in your browser when it loads. For a single record, the API's _meta says when we last read that record.
